The Government’s Road Investment Strategy and the Highways England Delivery Plan set out a commitment to increase investment for the provision of safe and convenient facilities for cycle traffic on and around the motorway and trunk road network.
In order to support the delivery of this commitment, and to provide facilities of a consistently high standard, Highways England has produced the Requirement and Advice Document (RAD) CD 195 ‘Designing for cycle traffic’. An e-learning package has been developed to accompany CD 195 and to support the changes to the requirements for facilities for cycle traffic.
